Most Americans enter the Canadian Rockies by flying to Calgary.  You can view pictures of this city of one million friendly Canadians--which hosted the 1988 Winter Olympics. Click the Mountie!

One of the most beautiful highlights to our visit to Canada was seeing the gorgeous waterfalls and lakes. Click picture.

The highlight of our trip was staying in the Fairmont Lake Louise Chateau, built by the Canadian Pacific Railroad in the late 1880s.  Click the lake.

While staying at Lake Louise we went on hikes and canoed its glacial lake.  A four hour trek up to the hotel's Tea House yielded rich mountain beauty.  You can also see these views! Click the mountain!

Never take a trip to the Canadian Rockies without a visit to the Columbia Ice field.  To venture onto a glacier, click here.  At the end of the Ice field Highway is Jasper.

While in Banff
, drive the Minne-
wanka Loop
and walk along the Garden + Bow River rapids trail.
